Director, Sales - Walmart, Bentonville, AR

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for driving revenue growth in a top strategically guided national account.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Drive profitable revenue growth by successfully selling priority programs and achieving the Joint Business Plan (JBP) objectives.
  • Support the development of the Annual Operating Plan in alignment with the customer JBP.
  • Develop and execute against JBP objectives, goals, strategies and metrics.
  • Develop and maintain relationships at all levels within the account.
  • Position Crayola Corporate executives at proper levels within the account.
  • In partnership with Crayola Marketing, develop strategies regarding the roll out of new products/promotions within the assigned account.
  • Work collaboratively with CPFR to provide internal forecast rationale at the program, product, and SKU level.
  • Develop and deliver fact-based sales presentations using category and market data, account practices, and promotional strategies to produce executable solutions/opportunities.
  • Negotiate annual trade fund/promotional spending in alignment with the total budget and trade spend strategy.
  • Build and maintain collaborative, productive and transparent partnerships with the sales team members and key business partners within Crayola.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in business and/or analytical discipline required. Master's degree a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years sales and account management experience within Consumer Product Goods sales or category management
  • Classically trained with a major CPG manufacturer in the areas of category management, EPA, account P&L's and analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience and results with account penetration at higher management levels
  • Fact-based selling and strong negotiation skills
  • Good strategic planning skills
  • Ability to communicate consumer trends and formulate actionable customer programs through the use of data.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Moderately advanced computer skills within Microsoft Office.
