LOCAL 4-438 Union Wages:

Union Probationary Pay: $15.49 per hour

Union Pay after 1 Year: $17.03 per hour

Union Pay after 2 Years: $20.54 per hour

What this job involves: This full-time position is for a Shipping and Receiving Generalist Technician at the North Brunswick site, reporting to JLL's Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. The role requires using independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse set of tasks during standard business hours. The candidate will provide a range of support services to JLL's client and must demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative team-player mindset.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Responsible for performing all duties assigned by management including handling pallets and packages, keeping accurate records, packaging, and weighing items, printing shipping labels and postage, inspecting goods received for damage, and distributing products to other departments.
  • Cleaning of bean-to-cup machines, restocking of coffee machines and restocking of coffee supplies.
  • Handling and delivering pouch Mail.
  • Processing Certified Mail.
  • Processing paper deliveries weekly to 10 copy/mailrooms.
  • Processing (Tracking System) and hand deliveries of all Accountable Mail to the customer,
  • Some computer work.
  • Handling customer phone calls/inquiries.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Conform to applicable Good Manufacturing Practices requirements.
  • Both written procedures and verbal instructions will be executed with strict attention to safety and quality.
  • Accurate and timely execution of activities and results are a requirement.
  • Strict adherence to federal, state, and local regulations is required.
  • Collaborative work with other employees is a necessity to achieve departmental and company goals.

Working Conditions:

  • The position may require the employee to work with chemical and biological agents that may be hazardous to health if mishandled (including agents which may potentially affect reproductive health and/or development of the fetus). Employees will be required to follow all safety procedures and use personal protective clothing/equipment as provided by the company where specified.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in shipping and receiving, including the handling and processing of pallets, packages, and various mail types.
  • Previous experience in a life sciences GxP environment is desired.
  • Experience handling chemical and biological agents safely is a plus.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and complete appropriate training based on vehicles utilized where applicable.
  • Must have adequate skills to perform required job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Superior customer service, team player who builds and maintains relationships.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective use of technology and tools such as SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to lift, bend and move in such a way as to perform job tasks in a safe and approved manner.
  • Must be able to operate required equipment required by this position in a safe and approved manner.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

32,219.00 - 42,723.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
