As an Associate Territory Manager (ATM) at STERIS, you will assist Territory Managers by supporting Customer facing activities for the Procedural OR product line. You will support the Customer facing activities in both pre and post order sales support including product in-servicing, trial support, post-sales implementations, Accumulated Sales Order unpacks, quoting and cross referencing of competitive SKU's.

This is a remote based Customer facing position. To support and service our Customers in this assigned territory candidates must be based out of one of the following state/cities: Jersey City, Newark, Hoboken, Bayonne, Paterson, Clifton, Elizabeth and Union City, New Jersey.

What will you do as an Associate Territory Manager:

  • Assist Territory Managers to support Customer-facing activities.
  • Possess a working knowledge of STERIS products and services (clinical applications, functions, features, and benefits) and how to properly position them as viable Customer solutions.
  • Understand and effectively present technical literature and how it applies to solving the Customer needs.
  • Understand and effectively present technical literature and information of all products when needed.
  • Provide exceptional Customer service by providing support with initial use of trials/equipment-product in-services including onsite support where applicable.
  • Act as a liaison between the Customer and the Territory Manager when needed.
  • Play a support role in both the pre and post sales process, including crossing, quoting, unpacks, trials support, and product implementation.
  • Develop relationships with Customers in the OR, SPD, Risk Management, ED, Urology, Nursing staff and Surgeons and/or Physicians.
  • Maintain knowledge about each account's history, contacts, and current and long-term purchase plans for designated products.
  • Identify and recognize key business opportunities and trends to appropriate team member.
  • Observe and report competitor activity and tactics to management.
  • Effectively communicate with key team members and support resources in the territory.
  • Provide Customer feedback to team members as appropriate.
  • Record Customer feedback and complaint information through the proper quality processes and channels.
  • Act on potential prospecting leads from existing Customers and communicate quickly with team members.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:

Required



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1 year of documented successful sales or clinical hospital experience
  • Will consider an Associate's degree with 3 years of sales or clinical hospital experience.
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 80%
  • Upon hire, successful completion of product specific training modules is required


Preferred



  • Medical device sales or B2B sales experience
  • 2 years of experience in the OR/SPD or in support of those functions
  • Acute care and/or operating room experience

Pay range for this opportunity is $70,000 - $75,000.This position is eligible for bonus.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
