IT Operations Supervisor / Site Lead

Description :

Supervise IT operations for a specific Munters location. Establish working relationships with key business stakeholders engaging them in regular communication regarding their IT requirements. Supervise the local IT operations team including hiring, training, mentoring and performance reviews. Take ownership of local IT CSAT KPI. This includes remaining connected to daily ticketing cases and IT issues affecting the local business. Function as a point of escalation for complex IT issues. Take ownership for those having a broad impact ensuring that they are driven to resolution. Responsible for communicating high impact issues and resolution timelines to the local business as needed. Interface with various functions within IT both regionally and globally including IT infrastructure, Applications, Security and GroupIT. May function as a resource for the broader IT Ops team in areas of subject matter expertise. Communicate with IT management regarding potential issues relating to local business expectations, within the team, and the gaps in IT services provided. Works in a way that is supportive of established IT standards and best practices. Works locally but thinks and operates regionally / globally. Manage local vendors / IT service providers as needed. Operate with a security mindset. Assume special projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership:

Direct and mentor a team of IT staff for a specific location, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to perform their duties.

  • Technical Expertise:

Provide technical guidance and support to the team and end-users, troubleshooting issues and ensuring systems are functioning correctly.

  • Project Management:

Lead and manage IT projects, from planning and execution to tracking progress and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Problem Solving:

Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems and issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

  • Communication:

Effectively communicate with IT staff, end-users, and other stakeholders, keeping them informed about system status and project progress.

  • Policy and Procedure Implementation:

Develop, implement, and monitor compliance with established IT policies and procedures.

  • Security:

Ensure the security of IT systems and data by implementing and maintaining established security measures and best practices.

  • Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for improvement in IT operations and work with regional IT management to implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency:Expert knowledge of IT concepts and best practices. Hands-on experience with computer operating systems, software applications, hardware, networking, troubleshooting - 5+ years
  • Leadership and Management:Ability to motivate, guide, and supervise a small team of IT professionals - 5+ years
  • Communication:Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-Solving:Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Project Management:Demonstrated experience in planning, executing, and managing IT projects.
  • Organization:Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
  • Adaptability:Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and changes in the IT landscape.
