Vaco is hiring a Staff Accountant for the Greendale, Indiana area. This is a direct hire opportunity! Salary: $60-$70K The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience withPayroll,Accounts Payable (AP),Accounts Receivable (AR),Month-End Close,Trial Balance preparation,Balance Sheet reporting, andAccount Reconciliations. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting processes. Key Responsibilities: Payroll: Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll accurately and in compliance with federal and state regulations. Maintain payroll records and resolve discrepancies in payroll reports. Accounts Payable (AP): Review, code, and process vendor invoices. Manage payment cycles and ensure timely disbursement of funds. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing issues. Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and send invoices to customers. Track incoming payments and follow up on overdue accounts. Apply cash receipts and reconcile AR accounts. Month-End Close: Prepare and post journal entries. Accrue expenses and revenue as needed. Assist in the preparation of financial statements. Trial Balance & Balance Sheet: Prepare and review the trial balance for accuracy. Support the development and review of monthly and quarterly balance sheets. Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accruals.
