Open and close the rental yard per company procedure Perform daily vehicle safety inspections on heavy haul truck and trailer, promptly report any issues to manager Communicate with manager on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of truck and trailer Properly load, secure and unload heavy equipment and specialty attachments per company procedure Properly plan routes and schedules to meet customers' expectations Notify manager if route is compromised causing a delay in delivery of heavy equipment or attachments Safely deliver and pick up heavy equipment and specialty attachments Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records utilizing e-log system. Promptly inform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups Verify order details and obtains customer signature on delivery ticket Provide excellent customer service during the delivery transaction Instruct customers on heavy equipment operation, utilizing Standard Operating Procedures if needed Promptly notify management of damages or mechanical issues to heavy equipment or specialty attachments Responsible for providing manager with proper delivery documents, so that counts can be verified prior to unloading heavy equipment and attachments at Service Center Responsible for extraction of keys in vehicle or heavy haul equipment upon delivery back to Service Center Report all safety incidents or violations immediately to supervisor Follow Standard Operating Procedures while carrying out the responsibilities of position Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, standards and guidelines Comply with all government safety requirements and other regulations Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form Attend all Department, Service Center and Safety meetings Perform other duties as requested Embraces BLE core values: Make It Happen, Do the Right Thing, Work Hard, Smart and Safe, We Care, Be the Best and Own It High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred but not required Valid Class A CDL, along with an excellent Motor Vehicle Record required Lowboy trailers/RGN trailers and construction equipment background a must Knowledge of and understanding of current DOT and FMCSA laws and regulations required Proficient in Wynne System and Microsoft Office including: Word and Excel Knowledge of frequently used Sales and Customer Relations Concepts, Practices and Procedures
