The Summer Program Assistant- Community Partner Mapping & Management will play a key role in strengthening the IRC's community engagement efforts in Northern California by identifying, organizing, and streamlining workflows to sustain relationships with key community partners. This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in nonprofit operations, community engagement, and partnership development. The Summer Program Assistant will conduct research, develop a database, and collaborate with program leads to create a comprehensive strategy for enhancing collaboration with local organizations, businesses, and service providers. Additionally, they will establish an Outreach Committee to regularly share updated resources and best practices, increasing the IRC's visibility and impact in local communities. To ensure the sustainability of these outreach efforts, the Summer Program Assistant will also design and implement a Community Partner Intern Program that fosters ongoing community engagement and support for local offices.
Primary Responsibilities
*Conduct research to identify community organizations, businesses, and service providers that align with the IRC's mission.
*Develop a comprehensive and organized database of potential and current partners.
*Assist in outreach efforts to establish and strengthen partnerships.
*Create partnership profiles summarizing key information, areas of collaboration, and points of contact.
*Develop and improve tracking tools for partnership engagement and impact measurement.
*Support the development of engagement materials such as outreach emails, partnership toolkits, and resource guides.
*Establish and coordinate an Outreach Committee focused on sharing the most recent resources and best practices to promote the IRC in local communities.
*Develop and implement a Community Partner Intern Program to sustain and expand outreach efforts for local offices.
*Provide recommendations for sustainable partnership management and long-term engagement strategies.

Requirements
*Interest in community engagement, nonprofit partnership development, or humanitarian work.
*Passion for supporting refugees, immigrants, and other displaced communities.
*Strong research and organizational skills, with the ability to synthesize information into actionable insights.
*Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Comfort using Windows computer systems, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
*Familiarity with online tools such as Canva is a plus.
*Preferred but not required: Experience with community organizing or outreach efforts.
*Preference given to first generation undergraduate students.
Working Environment
*Fully remote, candidate must use their own laptop/equipment.
*Candidate must have a workspace they can effectively complete their service from during regularly scheduled work hours (any time zone in the U.S.).

Compensation:Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
