Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, is responsible for providing first-level support for hardware, software, and operating systems of PC computing products. These duties are performed while meeting established departmental Service Levels and with exemplary customer service focus. The capability should exist to resolve problems of moderate scope, where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors and the exercise of judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine the appropriate action. This is a six-month temporary role with strong potential to become a permanent position, depending on performance and business needs ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Installs and configures operating systems on laptops and desktops.
- Identifies, troubleshoots, analyzes, and resolves desktop computer problems.
- Answer help requests in the help desk ticketing system.
- Escalates unresolved problems to Lead Desktop System Specialist or Manager.
- Handles new computer imaging and maintains the IT asset tracking system.
- Installs and configures local and network printers.
- Keep the IT facility organized, and supplies stocked
- Performs system administration for desktop solutions.
- Assists in system migrations under the direction of the Team Lead or Manager.
- Handles new user setup in appropriate systems. Generates and maintains user network IDs.
- Monitor the spam filter and respond to queries for the release of blocked emails.
- Management of the phone VoIP system, including setup of new users, voicemail password reset, etc.
- Complies with EBARA safety policies, including participation in and completion of all required safety training.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment compliant with Ebara safety policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Zero (0) to four (4) years' work-related experience, preferably in an Information Technology environment.
- Working knowledge of general policies and procedures.
- Strong Customer Relations skills.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of computer systems, including database management, data security, application selection, software systems development, and systems maintenance.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate and work effectively with internal colleagues and customers.
- Demonstrated teamwork and Organizational skills.
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
