Description

Engineer Analysts/Instructors facilitate scenario development and implementation in support of 30th Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Brigade (BDE) Air Defense Airspace Management / Brigade Aviation Element (ADAM/BAE) Cell Air to Ground Integration course. The purpose of the course is to train ADAM/BAE Cell Roles and Responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide detailed Ground Tactical Plan (GTP) and Concept of Operations (CONOP) briefs for air mission planning and unit airspace plan (UAP) development. Each CONOP and GTP shall provide for detailed airspace planning and integration in support of course practical exercises, vignettes, and final CAPSTONE training events. Each CONOP and GTP shall be synchronized with all facets of the course delivery design to include scenario development, digital simulations, and practical exercises.

* Perform White Cell Operations providing interaction with students during execution of course practical exercises, vignettes, and final CAPSTONE training events. Operate an AFATDS (Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System) and a TAIS (Tactical Airspace Integration System) during ADAM/BAE systems integration and operations training. Clearly deliver Field Artillery Fires, Airspace Command and Control (AC2) and Airspace Integration White Cell support during course execution using tactical chat and voice. The functions of the White Cell are Joint, Army multi-proponent and multi-echelon intensive as the White Cell provides Airspace, Aviation, Air Defense and Mission Command guidance.

* Facilitate extensive use of After-Action Reviews following each Situational Training Exercise (STX) conducted in support of ADAM/BAE training. Provide direct input into the small group discussions utilized during the course and provide Army Aviation and Airspace Integration expertise to the students.

* Create and manage user friendly scenario generation, display maps, DTED (Digital terrain Elevation Data), unit graphics, OPTASKLINK (Operational Tasking Data Link), FRAGOs Fragmentary Order), Fire Missions, Friction Points, AMRs (Air Movement Requests), Handouts, Student Guide etc., create and manage Air Control Orders and Air Tasking Orders in support of scenario development. The Air Tasking Order shall be able to be parsed and digitally used during simulation execution through use of ADSI v12.3 and later.

* Be familiar and assist with Internal web site(s) used for the ADAM/BAE Cell course, internal email used for the ADAM/BAE Cell Course, internal DNS (Domain Name Server) used for the ADAM/BAE Cell Course, update and maintain Symantec Endpoint Protection (Antivirus) software used on all computer systems with AV (updated weekly), manage tactical internet relay client chat server used for the ADAM/BAE Cell Course, manage current Army Mission Command Suite Systems used for the ADAM/BAE Cell Course, and manage a Backup Server for data management

* Generate through simulation, Standard Interface for Multiple Platform Evaluation (SIMPLE), Radar Element Subsystem (RES), JREAP C and 6017A Variable Message Format (VMF) architectures simultaneously. Simulate multiple radars (AWACS, TPS- 75, etc) providing the top-down "Joint" view. Generate through simulation multiple radars, Sentinels, Q-36/37, LCMR, (Light Weight Counter Mortar Radar) etc. to provide the "local" air picture and RAM (Rocket Artillery Mortar) tactical data to include a vast array of air platforms; F/W, R/W, UAS, RAM, TBM, with extensive use IFF, and positive and procedural airspace control methods. Simulation shall simulate air tracks and radars populating the ADSI (Air Defense System Integrator), and FAADC2 (Forward Area Air Defense Command and Control) systems tactically and simultaneously with air platforms and RAM data. Provide a means to support dynamic injection of Rockets, Artillery and Mortars and air platforms to support dynamic re-tasking, on the "fly" changes, to include track identification and track management training. Provide 6017A protocol for AFATDS (Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System) Fires solutions generation to support airspace control and airspace clearance processes in support of Fires and Protection War-Fighting functions.

* Be familiar with and assist with Cisco Switches and Routers configuration and management in direct support of the ADAM/BAE course and support of WOBC and WOAC (Warrant Officer Basic Course and Warrant Officer Advanced Course).

* Provide expertise and support in the research and development of force protection and homeland security exercise and training products. Provide digital stimulation for enemy air threats to include Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), manned aircrafts, rocket, artillery, and mortar threats. Will also contribute to homeland security training venues through collaboration with Warrant Officer Instructors and other subject matter experts. The technical support will include providing simulation of homeland air-track data to provide near-real tactical data for training.

* Provide support to WOBC, WOES and AIT for 14G/14H MOS when requested within the scope of support provided to the ADAM/BAE and C-RAM courses. The support required is engineering and technical services tied to existing Programs of Instruction for the preceding courses. The high-level technical support required for WOES and AIT training requires network management, tactical air-track stimulation, digital scenario support and ongoing sustainment and maintenance support on networks and networking equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Minimum of eight (8) years' experience dealing with any combination of Sentinel Radar, ADAM and ADAM/BAE operations.

* A bachelor's degree in Internet Technology or Computer Systems Engineering will equate to two years of experience.

* Combat experience as an Army OH-58 or AH 64 pilot and perform primary instruction for Aviation training for a BAE (Brigade Aviation Element) assigned to an Army Brigade Combat Team. The instruction will include UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems), Aviation attack, reconnaissance, assault and MEDEVAC, (Medical Aeronautical Evacuation) and Joint Fires planning and integration concepts in support of an Army BCT (Brigade Combat Team).

* Subject matter expertise in tactical systems such as the ADSI (Air Defense Systems Integrator), AMDWS (Air and Missile Defense Workstation), FAAD, TAIS (Tactical Airspace Integration System), and AFATDS (Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System).

* Instructor qualified to aid primary instruction during high tempo individual and integrated systems training.
