The Division of Cardiology within the Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School ( RWJMS) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiologist at an open rank to join our Heart Failure & Transplant team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the advancement of cardiac services with a particular focus on heart failure management and transplant cardiology. The Attending Physician will be a vital member of our interdisciplinary care team, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex cardiac conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing advanced heart failure and transplant patients, a commitment to excellence, and a collaborative spirit. Some duties may include: assessments of patients with heart failure and transplant-related conditions to determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans, effectively communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care requirements to patients and their families, and formal and informal education to staff on best practices in heart failure and transplant care.
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at New Brunswick is part of the RWJBarnabas Health System. The affiliation of Rutgers Health and RWJ/Barnabas Health, the largest health system in NJ, presents exciting opportunities for growth and expansion of the cardiology program. The Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is comprised of approximately 150 paid and more than 300 volunteer faculty members organized into 11 divisions covering the major medical subspecialties: Allergy, Immunology and Infectious Diseases; Cardiovascular Diseases and Hypertension; Education; Endocrinology, Metabolism and Nutrition; Gastroenterology and Hepatology; General Internal Medicine; Hematology; Medical Oncology; Nephrology; Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine; and Rheumatology.
