A New Drug Application for tenapanor for hyperphosphatemia has been approved in China with Fosun Pharma. Knight Therapeutics commercializes IBSRELA in Canada.

Position Summary:
The Senior Director, Patient Services Analytics & Market Access will be responsible for leading analytics and operational strategy across patient services and market access functions. This role will drive the generation of actionable insights, ensure robust analytics infrastructure, and partner closely with cross-functional and Market Access teams to optimize patient support programs, field access management initiatives, payer access strategy, pull-through initiatives, and pharmacy data (status data). The individual will be a key leader supporting the commercialization and life cycle management of Ardelyx products, including IBSRELA and XPHOZAH.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct a cross-functional analytics team to support Patient Services operations, ensuring coordinated execution across enrollment, benefit verification, prior authorization, financial assistance, and fulfillment workflows
  • Design and institutionalize scalable processes for KPI tracking related to patient onboarding, speed-to-therapy, adherence, and abandonment through the development and maintenance of automated dashboards
  • Translate operational feedback into actionable insights to guide continuous improvement in hub services and vendor management, reinforcing a culture of performance accountability
  • Partner with Market Access leadership to lead analytics initiatives evaluating the overall access landscape which may include: payer mix, formulary coverage, utilization management, and access trends using claims, hub, and third-party datasets
  • Develop field reimbursement team targeting and pull-through strategies, integrating payer-specific performance, market archetypes, and competitive access dynamics
  • Analyze patient affordability program offerings and opportunities to modify where aligned to overarching business objectives
  • Analyze Specialty Pharmacy status data for actionable trends and insights
  • Serve as the strategic analytics lead and primary point of contact for all Patient Services and Market Access analytics initiatives, collaborating with market access, including related functions such as marketing, finance, field access, and external vendors
  • Manage and develop analytics talent, fostering growth and accountability within the team while ensuring delivery excellence
  • Oversee data integration, governance, and vendor partnerships, building robust infrastructure to ensure quality, consistency, and unified reporting across systems
  • Create standardized reporting processes and operational dashboards that serve cross-functional stakeholders, supporting data-driven leadership engagement and strategic reviews
  • Deliver high-impact ad hoc analytics and executive presentations to senior leadership and field teams, driving alignment on access performance and strategic investments
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred, with 9 - 12 years of experience in biotech or pharma, focused on patient services, market access, or access analytics or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience leading teams and building analytics to support access strategy and patient hub performance
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end patient journey, including enrollment, benefit verification, prior authorization, financial assistance, and fulfillment
  • Skilled in developing dashboards and KPIs to track onboarding, speed-to-therapy, adherence, and abandonment
  • Experience with hub data, claims data, payer formulary data, and third-party data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony)
  • Proven ability to support field access teams with targeting, messaging, and payer insights
  • Track record of managing vendors, platforms, and data pipelines in support of patient services and access operations
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Veeva or Salesforce) to support pull-through and access tracking
  • Strong communication skills, especially in translating data into clear insights for leadership and field teams
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment
  • Willing to travel up to 25%
The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $243,000-$297,000. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
