Role: JAVA Technical Lead Developer
Experience: Minimum of 8 - 12 years of experience is mandatorily required

Location: We are ideally looking for candidates willing to work in a hybrid model from the client location in New York, NY. Remote work is not an option.

Hybrid Model - Day 1 Onsite
Hybrid Model - 3 days at Client's Office & 2 days Remote, each week

Roles and Responsibilities

* Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and secure full-stack applications.
* Architect solutions using best practices and ensure clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
* Mentor and guide junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
* Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
* Drive frontend development using ExtJS or other modern JS frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
* Implement RESTful APIs and microservices using Java (Spring Boot preferred).
* Ensure integration with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and third-party APIs.
* Lead agile ceremonies like sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
* Optimize performance, scalability, and security across both frontend and backend layers.
* Handle deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Required Skills:

Frontend:
* Strong experience with ExtJS or Vue.js (preferred), or solid hands-on with other frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Vue.js
* Deep understanding of DOM, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3
* Strong in writing SQL queries and optimization

Backend (Java):
* Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate
* Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
* Good understanding of microservices architecture

Databases:
* RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)

DevOps & Tools:
* CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

Work Authorization: Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $105,000/year - $125,000/year.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
