Division Contracts Director

LOCATION: Remote

JOB STATUS: Full-time

CLEARANCE: Desired, Not Required

TRAVEL: As Needed

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a remote Division Contracts Director. Due to the increasing complexity and volume of our portfolio, we are looking for a highly experienced Contracts professional who can provide strategic oversight, ensure compliance, and manage negotiations with key stakeholders. This role will be instrumental in mitigating risks and optimizing our contractual outcomes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Expertise in FAR-based contracts and all contract types (e.g., Fixed Price, Cost-reimbursable)
  • Must be flexible in adapting to deadlines, changing schedules, competing priorities, and unpredictable events
  • Demonstrated ability to assign work and manage multiple personnel
  • Ability to present data and recommendations to ELT members with minimal guidance
  • Thorough, detail oriented, and organized, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and independent thinker with out-of-the-box ideas
  • Outstanding leadership skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • A Master's degree preferred, with at least 10 years of related experience, or 15 years of related experience without a Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated proficiency with management of tactical and strategic negotiations, and development of work products
  • NASA experience desired
  • Experience working with executives and senior management required
  • Exceptional customer relationship management highly desirable

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management role with oversight of the Division contracts portfolio and multiple staff members.
  • Responsible for all Contracts Management activities, including overall assignment of work, management of personnel, quality control, customer satisfaction, and performance tracking and reporting.
  • Responsible for annual performance reviews and employee development.
  • Ensure that goals and objectives are set, responsibility is assigned, and results are documented.
  • Interfaces with Government customers, other agency representatives, ELT & SLT members, and Divisions leaders.
  • Disseminates policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates.
  • Manages the Division budget.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Ad-hoc support as required.
