As an UX Researcher (Quant Emphasis) supporting Digital Health,you will part of a UX team that is designing and developing engaging user experiences for a variety of applications. You will create studies to understand how users interact with systems, using data to identify trends and statistical findings, tracking key metrics such as ease of use, perceptions of the value, utility, and efficiency in performing tasks, etc. Identifying pain points, developing task and process flows, current-state journey maps, personas, empathy maps, to effectively conceptualize and communicate findings. Collaborating with product and design team members to isolate clear user needs, design recommendations, and business requirements, to guide development of features and functionality for various web/mobile and hardware experiences. Proficient in modern research (e.g. Dovetail, Dscout, Usertesting.com, SurveyMonkey, Maze), analysis (e.g. Google Analytics, Quantum Analytics, R, SPSS) and data visualization tools (e.g. FigJam, Excel, PowerPoint). In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Collaborate with product and design teams to clearly articulate problem statements, assumptions, and decisions to be informed by research efforts.
  • Recommend appropriate range of methodologies (primarily Quant, but potentially Qual) with respect to timeline and budget, helping align key product and design stakeholders.
  • Design, administer, and analyze studies while ensuring data integrity, research ethics, and quality insights.
  • Analyze quantitative research datasets, finding patterns and trends, and communicate findings to internal stakeholders
  • Develop and conduct periodic market and exemplar analyses to compare Alcon against current and potential competitors.
  • Analyze analytics data to develop Dashboards and reports to help inform strategic decision making.
  • Collaborate with Data Science team to identify findings for supplemental research and testing.
  • Create UX research roadmaps in collaboration with product team for continuous improvement across the product.
  • Utilize cluster analysis to support data-driven methods for persona development.

What You'll Bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+10 yrs; M.S.+3 yrs; PhD+1 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • Five years of relevant experience inqualitative and quantitative research
