Intercollegiate Athletics Job Description
The University of Missouri Athletics Department is seeking an Assistant Athletic Performance Coach for Olympic Sports. Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director of Athletic Performance and Sports Science, this individual will be responsible for: Providing instructional programming, supervision, and corrective exercise assistance to their assigned teams; Building successful and competitively excellent Olympic Sports programs through their strength skills; Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the facility, including assisting with clean up and maintenance of weight room equipment; Supporting coaching staff in the design and implementation of individualized programs in speed, strength, movement, and physical conditioning; Training student-athletes in proper weightlifting techniques, implementing conditioning protocols, and coaching plyometric techniques; Utilizing performance technology such as Kinexon/Catapult, Polar, First Beat, etc. to enhance the program; Working constructively and collaboratively in a diverse environment as it relates to the welfare of the student-athletes; and Certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) OR Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) and Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) along with current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification. Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Exercise Science or related field; prior coaching experience with a NCAA Division I strength and conditioning program. Anticipated Hiring Range
