Scope

Blue Yonder Defense Solutions is seeking a Program Reporting & Operations Specialist to support the Professional Services team across all phases of customer programs-from proposal and acquisition through delivery and deployment.

Blue Yonder Defense Solutions (BYDS) is a specialized division and set of offerings within Blue Yonder that focuses on providing supply chain and logistics solutions specifically tailored for the defense and aerospace sectors. This segment leverages Blue Yonder's expertise in supply chain management, demand planning, forecasting, and optimization to address the unique challenges and requirements of defense organizations.

Overview

The BYDS Program Reporting & Operations Specialist partners closely with Program Managers, Business Development, Finance, Legal, and Leadership to manage and report on budgets, forecasts, and program performance metrics. The Specialist will prepare analytical reports and briefs, ensuring accurate visibility into program health and financial status.

While primarily internal-facing, the position also serves as a liaison between BYDS, customers, and subcontractors to support smooth communication and execution. Responsibilities include sales pipeline reporting, pricing and proposal support, contract setup and management, financial and performance tracking, and risk identification through program analytics.

Salary Range: $85,000- $100,000 USD

Reports to:BYDS Program Management Office, Professional Services

What you'll do:

  • Gather data, prepare reports / analyze / identify trends, provide recommendations to improve operations / process optimization to support informed decision making across the organization

  • Prepare Sales Operations Reports to provide parent company with sanitized view of pipeline activity across BYDS

  • Support, and ultimately lead, the development and approval of pricing and related proposal artifacts, including working closely with Finance on approval processes and rate determinations.

  • Assisting and supporting the Program Managers in their daily duties with tracking contractual requirements and financial performance for Defense Programs

  • Ability to create and maintain various financial and contractual supporting documentation & presentation visuals for each program

  • Collaborate with all internal functions of the Business Unit e.g. Sales, Accounting, Time Recording, Legal, Marketing etc.

  • Support budgetary objectives working with the Program Manager and various team members for reviewing and verifying project cost code account charges within BYDS's time tracking system

  • Document all project related reporting processes to ensure consistency of reporting across all customer programs

  • Liaise with BYDS accounting functions for invoicing and payment processing

  • Ensure that relevant management information is captured and analyzed

  • Track, analyze, and communicate program risks and opportunities

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in software implementation program fundamentals including contract management, time & material based invoicing, resource allocation & reporting, analytical reporting, data driven decision making

  • Comprehensive understanding of project financial management, reporting standards, and contractual processes, preferably within Federal or Defense related projects

  • Experience in an Enterprise Software Application and/or Product-based organization and/or Services-based company environment

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong attention to accuracy and detail

  • Experience with subcontractor management, including financial analysis, funding strategies, and development of SOW modifications

  • Proven ability to organize, document, and present program status updates, business proposals, and related materials supporting strategic objectives

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience required; MBA highly preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Jira and Confluence preferred

  • Working knowledge of supply chain processes considered advantageous

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
