As a Cost Analyst at Crescent Electric Supply, you will support a variety of initiatives related to cost. You will be responsible for managing and analyzing vendor cost levels and structures within the organization. You will also identify areas for additional cost enhancement opportunities.
Primary Duties:
Review and analyze company-wide cost reports for potential cost issue resolution and optimization in cost savings. Proactively identify, recommend and implement enhancements to the vendor cost process within Crescent's software application. Manage price increases and cost updates including contacting vendors and collecting, organizing and processing cost agreements in a timely manner. Manage cost workflow process and provide cost field support for the company including problem solving and resolving cost issues. Manage and process EDI and non-EDI cost agreements and credits including processing, loading, and rejection reports and work with vendors to rectify issues and variances. Review, research, and make recommendations on cost enhancement opportunities including streamlining agreements as well as improved cost recommendations.
Skills:
Highly motivated individual who is driven to provide excellent customer service. Excellent process development & enhancement skills. Systemic thinking. Proven skills in adapting to and understanding modern technology. Efficient use of PC, including advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and the ability to effectively communicate via email. Lead and support multiple projects across different focus areas concurrently. Ability to work well with others, implement projects, self-motivate and take constructive criticism.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred, or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong communication skills with aptitude to effectively and positively communicate via e-mail, phone and face to face. Strong organizational and time management skills with tangible experience reprioritizing across multiple projects.
Physical Demands:
Ability to use PC and telephone. Occasionally standing, walking, use of hands to finger/handle, reaching with hands/arms needed. Often sitting, talking, or hearing needed. Occasionally the ability to lift up to 25 pounds is needed. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) needed.
