Sodexo is currenlty seeking a full time Registered Dietitian for SSM Health St Mary's Hospital - Madison Wisconsin.

St. Mary's Hospital is a 440-bed not-for-profit hospital located in Madison, Wisconsin that serves 18 surrounding south-central Wisconsin counties. It is a part of the SSM Health system based in St. Louis. Sister hospitals in Wisconsin include St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo and St. Mary's Janesville Hospital.

The successful candidate will report to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, in this role you will:

    Be a Registered Dietitian with at least 1-2 year's recent experience in acute care setting providing Medical Nutrition Therapy to the general population of patients with a variety of disease states;
  • Have ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and use good judgment to make decisions and work within a self-directed team oriented work environment;
  • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups;
  • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills;
  • Performs comprehensive nutritional evaluations and follow up assessments for variety of patient types;
  • Have effective written and verbal communication for all hospital and departmental programs and activities;
  • Possess great education and training skills to provide nutrition information to a wide variety of audiences.

Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct comprehensive nutrition services
Key Duties
-Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
-Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
