Job Details
Summary: This position will be responsible for assisting with the implementation, roll-out, maintenance, and validation of the financial decision support solutions for all of Johns Hopkins Medicine. The qualified candidate will perform the routine monthly maintenance processes for the data structures within the solutions; assist with the documentation of procedures, data structures, and databases used in decision support; assist with meaningful analyses utilizing this data; support the education and training of all decision support end users. The Decision Support Analyst must have the ability to independently perform analytical and system maintenance tasks and must have a thorough understanding of decision support-based functionality. Financial Decision Support functions:
Knowledge: Ability and knowledge in Microsoft software tools (spreadsheet, word processing, presentation), with a strong emphasis on Excel functions and formulas, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP required. Proficient in other Microsoft Office products, including (but not limited to) Access, Outlook, and Teams; Preferred experience with maintaining systems such as Epic, EPSi, Workday, and StrataJazz; Working knowledge of SQL preferred. Rudimentary knowledge of cost accounting principles, budget processes, and financial analysis; Combine accounting principles with information technology to streamline financial processes and improve decision-making. Skills: Ability to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and deliverables. Initiative, organizational skills, and the ability to be a "self-starter" are essential; Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to deliver information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner to effectively engage others and achieve desired results; Experience with SAP, Workday, or other ERP systems is preferred; Exchanges information as appropriate requiring excellent oral and written communication; Works effectively as a part of a team, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment; Ability to develop and strengthen collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Education: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Work Experience: Requires a minimum of two to three years of experience in decision support and cost accounting systems within a healthcare setting. Salary Range: $30.08/hour - Maximum $52.65/hour.
