Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
- Proactively foster a learning safety culture by modeling a safe work ethic and promoting the value of open reporting and shared safety responsibility. Follow all safety policies, standards, and procedures in order to achieve a safe and healthy work environment for all staff, customers, and visitors. Similarly support Inland Group of Companies environmental commitments by helping to limit our organization's impact on the ecosystem;
- Abide by Inland Group of Companies procedural handbooks, operational plans, and directives of management to ensure that all work is done according to specifications and/or regulations;
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations of production equipment;
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure peak performance of equipment;
- Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues;
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness;
- Perform equipment failure analysis to diagnose and repair equipment problems;
- Log equipment modifications and maintenance details;
- Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment;
- Other duties assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Strong mechanical background;
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds;
- Ability to work independently to achieve project goals before deadline;
- Ability to work well with others in a manufacturing setting;
- Knowledge of balancing and/or alignment systems;
- Must provide their own basic hand tools standard and metric up to 1", screwdrivers, and hammers etc.
- Valid driver's license;
- Ability to pass pre-employment background screenings required to obtain an airport badge.
Preferred Certifications/Licenses but, not required:
- ASE or, AWS is considered an asset;
- Technical training is preferred. (Rosedale, Lincoln Tech, NCST etc.).
Work Environment:
- This position requires regular on-site attendance to meet immediate business demands.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, crawl in awkward positions;
- Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to, or in excess of 50 pounds;
- May be exposed to hazards inherent in airport operations, including noise, vehicles, equipment, and weather, all of which are well-managed with a high level of training, personal protective equipment, and safety procedures.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week.
