Specialist, Local Services (Rio Tinto Services Inc., Boron, CA):

Procurement project support for Engineering Projects and Capital Equipment. Procurement leader for site specific contracts. Creation and maintenance of stakeholder approved Category Strategy for relevant categories. Ensure qualification of suppliers and compliance with Rio Tinto Procurement Policy. Preparation and management of Request for Information and Request for Quotation documents. Preparation of comparative analysis and sourcing recommendations resulting from proposals received. Lead business-critical negotiations and effectively secure outcomes that align to strategic procurement priorities and provide leadership skills to support teams to develop negotiation skills. Draft and execute required contracts and master service agreements.

Telecommuting permitted up to 40% per week.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $163,571.00 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Statistical Analysis, Communications or a related field and 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related work experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept an additional 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related work experience.

Must have 2 years of experience in the following:

  • Managing procurement projects, negotiating contracts, and developing procurement strategies;
  • Commercial-related roll in the mining industry;
  • Applying SAP materials management;
  • Utilizing RTBS;
  • Utilizing Ariba;
  • Utilizing Promentum;
  • Utilizing Momentum; and
  • Project management within the mining industry.

Telecommuting: Telecommuting permitted up to 40% per week.

Travel: International travel required up to 5%; Domestic travel required up to 5%

Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
