Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION *Project support is Domestic and/or International Ensures that commercial-grade items and services meet nuclear safety requirements through a structured dedication process in accordance with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1), Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility Applications, Subpart 2.14, to provide reasonable assurance that an item or service will successfully perform its intended safety function. Extensive knowledge of quality and safety requirements for the nuclear industry and general industrial practices. Develop and revise Quality procedures in accordance with DOE and/or NRC requirements, applicable standards (e.g., NQA-1-2019), and government regulations. Works with both Quality, Procurement, Engineering, and Operations Departments to create, revise and approve documents to be used by procurement for the purchase of material and services. Subcontractor shall be responsible for the management and execution of assigned programs/projects in accordance with the requirements of DOE and/or NRC, and the operating policies and principles. Both Quality and Procurement Engineering play a crucial role in the Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) process, ensuring that procured items meet the necessary safety and quality standards for nuclear applications.
