Summary In addition to performing the responsibilities outlined in the core Registered Nurse job description the Operating Room Registered Nurse performs the role of Circulating Nurse while functioning as a patient advocate for the anesthetized patient. The OR RN is responsible for providing safe and effective care to the surgical patient while meeting their physiologic and functional needs.
This position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Function Age-Specific Requirements
The OR RN interacts with those within any of the following populations: pre-natal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, and with those of adult age on an inter-disciplinary level; he or she must be able to effectively interact appropriate to individual's intellectual level and physical ability.
