HVAC Technical Support Specialist - (Mini Split Focus)

We are seeking an HVAC Technical Support Specialist to join our Home Comfort team, with a primary focus on supporting Technicians in our mini split product line. In this role, you will serve as the technical resource for HVAC professionals nationally, assisting with installations, troubleshooting, and product knowledge.

Success in this position requires strong listening skills, the ability to assess technicians needs, and a solution-driven approach to resolving issues in the field.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Technical Support Specialist will:
  • Provide assistance to technicians and dealer partners via phone and email.
  • Diagnose product issues (branded and OEM) and guide in troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Support inquiries related to product setup, installation, and proper technical use.
  • Review orders for accuracy, including parts, accessories, and system components.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for installation-related escalations.
  • Develop and maintain a U.S. based network of qualified HVAC technicians to support product service.
  • Provide feedback to Category Management team regarding recurring installation issues, product defects, product improvement suggestions, and review of product manuals and documentation.
  • Monitor and implement procedures to ensure technicians receive accurate, timely information.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and providing product knowledge where required.


Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical background: Strong knowledge of HVAC systems with a focus on mini split technology.
  • Experience working in technical support, field service, or as an HVAC technician.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
  • Prior experience supporting or training contractors, installers, or dealer networks.
  • Good organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong ability to follow up.

Willing to Train
  • EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerant handling.
  • NATE certification or equivalent industry-recognized credentials.
  • Proficiency with order management systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office tools.
