POSITION SUMMARY

We are offering an internship opportunity in our Accounting department. This internship offers an opportunity to perform work that affects the bottom line of a company dedicated to the protection of people, property and the planet and to experience a corporate culture that values passionate leadership and positive relationships. We are seeking a student who is available to work 20-30 hours per week.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Learn processes and tools needed to use Accounting software effectively and efficiently;



  • Learn and assist with financial closing and reporting processes;



  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations.



  • Provide support to other members of the accounting team as needed by doing fill-in work such as filing of A/P payment details and A/R invoices, etc.



  • Provide support to the accounting team by performing analysis or projects as assigned





SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS




  • At least a sophomore standing in Accounting, Finance or related major



  • Minimum 3.0 GPA



  • Must demonstrate excellent analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and strong pursuit of accuracy



  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly articulate concepts and explanations



  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities



  • Proficient in computer technology and Microsoft Office Products, in particular Excel



  • Work well on teams, within and outside of function



  • Ability to meet firm deadlines in a fast-paced environment



  • Applicants must be located in the Louisville, KY area and enrolled in either an undergraduate or graduate level accredited program.
