Primarily responsible for overseeing and leading the Commercial Loan Processing Team Leads and Commercial Loan Processors, assisting and collaborating with the VP Loan Operations on projects and direction of the Loan Processing Team along with providing loan processing and administrative services to the Commercial/AG Lending Team.
As a Commercial Processing Manager, you will:
- Lead and support Commercial Loan Processors and Team Leads in daily operations, serving as the primary point of contact for training, guidance, and department policies.
- Provide comprehensive training to administrative assistants on loan processing functions.
- Facilitate effective communication between administrative assistants and loan processors to ensure smooth workflows.
- Oversee performance management, including one-on-one meetings, goal tracking, annual performance reviews, and timecard management for Commercial Loan Processors and Team Leads.
- Participate in the hiring process, assisting with interviews and staffing decisions to maintain optimal team levels.
- Identify opportunities for department improvements and manage projects by proposing and implementing solutions.
- Maintain expertise in commercial loan documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare, review, and verify collateral documents-including real estate mortgages-as part of commercial loan documentation.
- Review Loan Documentation and Monitoring for return of missing loan documents and/or signatures to the Commercial Lending Team.
- Oversee the workflow and timeline of loan requests from the Commercial and Agricultural Lending Teams, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Serve as a resource for administrative assistants and loan processors, providing guidance on loan request entries and processing best practices.
- Work directly with the VP of Loan Operations to ensure compliance with Commercial and Agricultural lending policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Educate and enforce lending compliance requirements within the department.
- Uphold Nicolet's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
Directly supervise the Commercial Loan Processing Team in accordance with Nicolet's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching, mentoring and development planning; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years loan, Business or Commercial processing, loan documentation or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years of Business Management within the financial banking industry.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be a team player who is open to change.
- Willingness and desire for continuous learning to maintain and enhance professional expertise in field.
