The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a Surgeon/Scientist to join the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. Position Overview The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery seeks to hire a board certified/eligible plastic surgeon to explore innovative research in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Research will be in the areas of basic science as well as clinical research. Qualified candidates for this position will participate in the Research Committee of the Department and will be a leader in the expansion of the research mission of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Department/Division Overview The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery has 21 full-time faculty, 5 faculty at Nationwide Childrens Hospital and 10 community faculty who are committed to the tripartite mission of clinical excellence, research and education. Our residency program consists of both integrated and independent pathways. We have 26 residents and 4 fellows (microsurgery, nerve and pediatric fellowships). We are a referral center for central Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky and provide comprehensive Plastic Surgery care at the Wexner Medical Center including University Hospital, East Hospital, The James Comprehensive Cancer Center and the multiple free-standing ambulatory sites of The Ohio State University.
