Description

The day to day:



  • Assists in the overall management of the preventative maintenance responsibilities. This includes setting up, adjusting and repairing all types of equipment in order to allow the organization to consistently meet our standards for quality, cost, and food safety
  • Assisting the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Planner in the planning, coordinating, scheduling and assigning daily work assignments for maintenance personnel
  • Maintaining an adequate inventory of spare parts in order to minimize production downtime
  • Assisting in overseeing the preventative maintenance program for all production equipment
  • Assisting in the coordination for the on-the-job training of maintenance staff
  • Communicating with Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, and Production Supervisors to review previous shift and any current issues
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing special projects, equipment installation, and maintenance turnabouts
  • Overseeing the set up and operations of all types of production equipment and machine tools such as, but not limited to, lathes, mills, welder, make or rework required machine parts
  • Attending production work order prioritization meetings, as well as reviewing orders and assigning tasks to Maintenance Technicians
  • Re-programming or programming and editing PLC's (programmable logic controllers)
  • Setting up and safely operating all types of production equipment and machine tools like, lathes, mills, welder, make or rework required machine parts
  • Knowledge of basic safe work procedures and maintenance shop procedures
  • Keep clean job site and tools
  • Assure others are following safety guidelines and general housekeeping rules
  • Coach and lead team members in the use of effective lean techniques and apply them to the production floor


Experience:



  • 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment and plant operations
  • Previous Supervisory or Team Lead experience
  • Must be familiar with maintenance software packages that product work orders
  • Basic understanding of OSHA and safety procedures


Notes:



  • This is a one year contract role based out of our Blaine WA facility
  • The pay range will be between $100,000 - $130,000 with a 10% completion bonus
