Summary: Apex is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician II.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Life cycle management, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of medical and non-medical support equipment (oxygen generating systems, radiographic diagnostics equipment, life support systems, etc.).
- Determines associated support items of equipment in order to perform scheduled services and maintenance repairs and calibration; supply support and provisioning requirements; and training requirements.
- Prepares necessary support documentation and purchase requisitions of parts.
- In addition to BMET level I duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of biomedical equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems related to medical devices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical manuals and safety guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Effective communication skills to provide technical support and document service activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree. Must have graduated from The DoD Biomedical Maintenance Course or an accredited civilian Biomedical Maintenance Course.
- Minimum 4 years of field experience in performing and managing: initial inspections, calibrations, diagnostics, maintenance, life cycle management, and repair of medical equipment within OEM guidance, advanced: diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of medical and non-medical support equipment (oxygen generating systems, radiographic diagnostics equipment, advanced life support systems, etc.).
- Must have a minimum of two BMETs upon contract award who have completed the Planmeca Digital Dental course; remaining ANG BMETs must have graduated from the Planmeca Digital Dental course no later than 12 months of contract award.
- Must have a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a related field.
Pay and Benefits The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $79,000 annually. At Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
