Responsibilities
When your actions lead to success:
- Partner with plant operations and leadership to ensure plant production areas are supported.
- Deliver pro-active systems and ideas aimed first at avoiding quality non-conformances and promoting a good quality culture.
- Oversee and carry out Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements in alignment with the Hazard Analysis Critical Control SQF System (HACCP).
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety & Food Quality Plans in addition to customer requirements. Create and maintain quality system documentation (SOPs, inspection protocols, test methods, record, and forms).
- Foster a safe work environment by monitoring and coordinating activities related to partner safety, food safety, and regulatory procedures.
- Manage daily production non-conformance quality process.
- Oversee customer complaints, follow up on correction and preventative actions.
Qualifications
When your expertise drives us:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, or related field AND a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in manufacturing and/or lab setting OR an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience in manufacturing and/or lab setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency with driving root cause analysis and production method improvements.
- Highly organized and self-directed with the ability to prioritize projects, combined with the ability to provide and receive direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience leading and collaborating within a team, working towards a common goal.
- Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one and in small groups, easily articulating ideas and needs, so people across all levels understand.
