Your role

As a IMS Engineer, your mission is to direct and provide information to management regarding quality systems, ensuring they are estabalished and implemented. You will report to the SHEQ Manager.

This position will take ownership of safety and quality performance across multiple sites, ensuring all operations meet or exceed regulatory requirements, company standards, and customer expectations. Lead and drive a culture of continuous improvement, proactively managing risk and compliance in alignment with corporate policies and industry regulations.

Here's how you'll make an impact:



  • Successfully maintain accreditation of quality certificates for Internal Atlas Copco Operational Units. To develop and improve the Quality Systems and procedures. This includes passing audits with minimal level of infractions.
  • Manage quality in process to ensure quality and consistency of work delivery areas, look for areas for improvement
  • Continuously look for better way to improve efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction; while not sacrificing Time, Cost & Quality
  • Maintain the companies Document Control databases.
  • Work with the company to complete all corrective actions from internal or external audits.
  • Prepare departments and their respective employees for periodic/recertification audits.
  • Knowledge of tool maintenance, calibration concepts, operational scheduling models, and tool database management required
  • Sound understanding of process management, inventory control, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction
  • Assist the Service Department in Quality related issues.
  • Assist North American companies in all environmental reporting issues back to our Corporate Headquarters.
  • Providing any external communication as stated in the ISO standard.
  • Assist our internal Calibration Lab Manager with the continuing ISO 17025 certification and other related activities.
  • Assist in all Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality requirements
  • As part of the ISO 9001, 45001, 14001 and 17025 systems administrator, maintain legal and other requirements of the system.
  • Assist in all building safety requirements
  • This position will require National travel to Atlas Copco service center locations. The candidate can anticipate six - eight trips to these locations annually.

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited 4-year college or university
  • Professional Training in ISO Standards - 9001, 14001, 45001, & 17025
  • Minimum 5 years' experience and proven track record with ISO and high-quality standards
  • Experienced in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Job location

Hybrid: You will have the ability to work directly onsite with our team in Auburn Hills, Michigan as well as from a home office based on business needs. Hybrid options are at the descretion of the manager and are subject to change at any time.
