Job Purpose We are looking for an Application Engineer for our NA Aerospace team, supporting our Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) business. This position reports to the Manager, Application Engineering and manages the technical relationship with SKF's customers, working closely with the MRO Repair Center and MRO leadership. The role will also coordinate with Sales and Customer Service as part of the accounts responsible team. Responsibilities include assisting the MRO team in growing the bearing aftermarket business through technical engagement with customers, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and assisting with bearing functional investigations in the field and at the MRO Repair Center. Responsibilities include evaluating technical risks, verifying product quality and inspection requirements, customer specification controls, and analyzing product field service history. This engineer promotes SKF know-how and value propositions in-line with corporate strategy and is part of a global team with access to SKF's subject matter experts to aid in design, analysis and lessons learned. This engineer would also be responsible for problem solving, supporting preliminary engineering calculations, and solution determination in cases of customer complaints or application specific requests with regard to product performance and failure risk analysis.
