As Associate Director, RCA Analytics, you will be a key driver of data-led decision-making at RCA, turning numbers into insights that inform how we release music, develop artists, run campaigns, and identify new opportunities. You'll help shape our understanding of fan behavior and performance trends - playing a vital role in breaking the next generation of artists and guiding the trajectory of some of the biggest names in the industry.


What you'll do:

  • Perform deep-dive research to uncover insights into trends across the music industry, competitors, social platforms, streaming services, and listener behavior to inform how new music is released and marketed
  • Leverage data from social platforms and digital marketing campaigns to identify performance trends and audience insights, delivering strategic recommendations that enhance campaign effectiveness and support the label's broader digital and fan engagement strategy
  • Strengthen our understanding of artist fanbases by developing new strategies to collect and analyze psychographic and behavioral data - including interests, brand affinities, platform usage, identity markers, and values - to better acquire, segment, and engage fans
  • Assist in developing data tools and dashboards that integrate streaming, social, and audience data to track artist growth, uncover opportunities, and generate insights that guide both internal strategy and A&R evaluations of potential signings
  • Enhance the label's social analytics capabilities by identifying key data sources, automating data collection processes, and creating tools and reports that surface actionable insights


Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience working with data
  • Experience with SQL, python, and other programming languages and business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Alteryx
  • A powerful blend of analyst and data developer - skilled at both uncovering insights from complex data and building streamlined workflows and dashboards
  • Advanced knowledge of all primary MS Office software and advanced Excel skills
  • Able to draw conclusions from data and propose effective solutions
  • Passionate about the music and entertainment business and have a desire to build a career in the industry
  • Excellent communicator and enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, external partners, and senior management

The anticipated annual base salary does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
