As a Senior Product Manager - Biometrics Readers this role will focus on end-to-end management of the Biometric solutions within the HID Physical Access Control Solution (PACS)portfolio. The role is an inter-disciplinary position that bridges the product with development, operational, and support teams to provide best-in-class products and customer experience.
To be successful in the role, the candidate must have experience (minimum 7 years) in product management with an emphasis on biometrics, electro-mechanical, embedded firmware, API, and customer-facing software systems, within the physical access control industry.
You will be expected to take lead and drive initiatives to maintain, support, and ensure the success of the Biometric solutions portfolio. You will work in a global team with Business/Epic owners, Product Owners, Engineers and Operations professionals.

As our Sr. Product Manager, Biometrics Readers, you'll support HID's successby:
- Leading and driving activities independently for the Biometric products portfolio, with the goal of delivering unique solution benefits with superior customer experience.
- Defining and delivering clear, actionable, and verifiable product requirements that address internal, external, and market problems for which value can be extracted.
- Ensuring execution of portfolio initiatives are aligned with the Biometric products roadmap, strategic vision, and business priorities and aspirations.
- Managing changes to the Biometrics product vision and roadmap based on the broader PACS strategic themes and solution visions.
- Identifying opportunities for optimization, including continuous improvement and Va/Ve efforts, by understanding internal, customer, and market problems, along with competitive positioning and technology trends.
- Driving outcomes, instituting a results-oriented mindset, developing and implementing metrics that evaluate effectiveness of the product line in relation to lean budgets and guardrails.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, using Agile SAFe methodologies, to align marketing, sales, operations, supply chain, and product unit teams to drive revenue growth and/or profitability.
- Developing and executing comprehensive Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies for end-to-end lifecycle planning of existing product lines.
YourExperienceand Background include:
- Bachelor's Degree - Engineering or related (Master's degree is beneficial but not required).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Product Management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Biometrics readers, including embedded hardware and firmware
- Strong knowledge of the physical access control and/or physical security industry.
- Experience with Agile development and lean innovation practices.
- Training in SAFe such as Implementing SAFe and / or SAFe POPM.
- Product development expertise from concept to product launch.
- Biometrics product management experience.
- Product management experience across multiple customer types, technologies development methodologies, standards and regulations.
- Ability to make difficult trade-offs with intelligent risk taking.
- Market focused and value-based mindset with ability to anticipate changing business needs.
- Strategic thinking and effective management on complex projects.
- Demonstrate cross-functional leadership with Sales, Quality, Finance and Operations.
