Job Summary This Student Services Analyst position is responsible for recruiting and advising students through their college experience in goal setting, degree and certification completion and transfer pathways. The student services analyst will work with Student Information System (PeopleSoft) and other technology for monitoring, updating and reporting student achievements in their case management. The Student Services Analyst will occasionally be responsible for presenting information to groups of prospective students. Frequent travel to perspective student locations and events is expected. Collaboration with Glendale Community College Recruiters and Gaucho New Student Advisors is expected as part of a team environment. Essential Functions 30% - Coordinates and implements programming and processes college academic advisement, pre-college placement testing, admission and enrollment assistance and financial aid guidance; delivers educational planning in small and large group settings; provides information to incoming students regarding academic degree and certificate programs; provides information on admissions, registration, program and degree requirements, education plans and information on Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) policies and procedures; assists students in early career and educational planning and the selection and registration of courses applicable to their educational goals; provides information to students regarding Arizona transfer pathways and transfer resources and information on MCCCD programs, policies and procedures; maintains knowledge of a wide variety of information sources such as web sites, printed materials, e-mail and Maricopa and university transfer agreements; collects and interprets data to make informed program decisions, monitors students' progress through the enrollment process, and generates progress to goal reports. 30% - Develops and maintains relationships and coordination with departments such as, recruiting, admissions and records, financial aid, advisement, global education services, and business services to develop a thorough understanding of the college culture, programs, services and processes. Utilizes this understanding to provide services and assist potential students to choose their program and attain their educational goals. Establish and maintain relationships with academic stakeholders and field of interest analysts. 30% - Works with counselors and teachers to help identify students who are interested in college and provide presentations to students and application/enrollment workshops to help students through the recruitment, pre-screening, and admissions processes on location at high schools and / or events. Assist prospective students to the next stage in the enrollment process (Prospect, Applicant, Matriculant, to Enrolled). 10% - Attends departmental meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities; performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs. OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation. Desired Qualifications A. Experience working in Higher Education in any of the following areas: Student Services, Student Affairs, Recruitment, Counseling, and/or Advising B. Experience working with high school students, Grades 9-12 C. Experience presenting to large or small groups D. Master's Degree in any field E. Effective written communications skills (as evidenced by application materials) F. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite Special Working Conditions
