Senior Accountant, Consolidation and Reporting

Core Responsibilities:



  • Manage corporate general ledger, including monthly actuals reporting and reconciliation process
  • Lead the monthly consolidation process, ensuring all intercompany transactions are eliminated and consolidated journal entries are recorded
  • Prepare external reporting, ensuring financial statements, footnotes and MD&A required for debt compliance are complete and accurate
  • Coordinate annual US GAAP audit as well as statutory audits and fees with external auditors
  • Support technical areas such as debt, derivatives, leases, annual impairment reviews, and pension & post-retirement plans
  • Assist in the research and analysis of new accounting pronouncements and preparation of position papers/technical memos
  • Participate in special projects such as M&A due diligence or purchase accounting
  • Collaborate with Finance Directors by participating in quarterly financial statement reviews or providing support for business analysis
  • Implement improvements in accounting and financial reporting procedures to drive consistency and efficiency across all sites
  • Maintain effective business relationships with site finance leaders and Aerospace leadership by providing financial and accounting support



Qualifications:



  • Impeccable integrity and high emotional intelligence with the ability to engage in quality decision making and business partnership
  • Established project management and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
  • Accountable for driving change through process and transactional excellence (automation, workflow)
  • Implementation or user experience in ERP systems, reporting systems (Oracle preferred); also, other digital analytic tools
  • Excellent analytical and data distillation skills to encompass problem identification, evaluation, and solutions
  • Ability to learn and engage in the Company's digital transformation process and acquisition-integration initiatives
  • Ability for travel to support business initiatives as needed


Education Requirements:



  • BS degree in Accounting; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation/Advanced Degree is preferred
  • 3-5 years of US GAAP accounting experience, including experience with a public accounting firm; additional experience in manufacturing environments is preferred
