The Senior Payroll Conversion Consultant is responsible for supporting routine and complex Implementation and Retirement Plan Services to achieve successful setup of payroll integration for new and existing retirement plan sales. The Consultant will act as project manager and consultant for payroll integration for conventional client groups as well as client groups with more intricate and complex needs. Also, will work side-by-side with the Implementation Consultant during the conversion process and will act as the point of contact with Plan Sponsors, Financial Advisors and Third-Party Administrators for all payroll, online enrollment and automatic enrollment related matters for assigned client groups with both standard and more complex plan set up.

What you will do

  • Serve as a daily contact and subject matter expert (SME) to Payroll Consultants answering questions, training, and serving as a point of escalation for more complex issue resolution.
  • Solve complex problems by applying broader perspective and experience to identify and utilize existing solutions.
  • Respond to email, service requests, assist line and instant messaging from new and existing clients.
  • Ensure successful setup of payroll integration and installation of both standard and complex new transfer and/or start-up retirement plan sales.
  • Act as the primary contact for regarding all payroll set up matters for assigned client groups.
  • Attend ongoing weekly conference calls on assigned projects and consult with client contacts including plan sponsors, payroll vendors, financial advisors, third party administrators, relationship/client service managers, regional sales directors and internal departments for the timing of conversion, outstanding items, critical tasks and project management.
  • Gather required data to support the automatic enrollment and feedback file processes for both standard and more complex client groups.
  • Discuss service product features to determine suitability of payroll method and provide comprehensive explanation of administrative duties associated with payroll.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate FTP (File Transfer Protocol) connections with payroll vendors/clients using direct FTP.
  • Work with network payroll vendors for plans transferring to our Payroll Bridge product Coordinate with internal departments for issue resolution of incoming cash/payroll files.
  • Work with internal departments to review data from prior provider to ensure data load is accurate.
  • Map new and complex payroll files ensuring required data is provided to support the plan features.
  • Work extended hours and overtime during peak seasons or high volume.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Finance or a related field or equivalent related experience.
  • 4 - 7 years of experience in financial industry required, with payroll processing knowledge preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail required.

Base Salary Range

$70,800.00 - $99,975.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
