Your Opportunity as a Senior Analyst, IS Operations & Supply Chain Analytics

The Information Services (IS) department at Smucker drives technology solutions that enable the business to perform, transform, and grow. As a Senior Analyst within the IS Supply Chain & Operations Analytics team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting data-driven solutions that empower Plant Operations and Supply Chain functions.

Working under limited guidance, you will serve as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and IS, focusing on analytics initiatives. You will envision, prototype, and deliver user-centric analytical tools and visualizations that translate complex data into actionable insights. Your work will help foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Location: Orrville, Ohio (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron)

Work Arrangements: Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires

In this role you will:

Deliver solutions

  • Collaborate with business partners to understand needs and translate them into analytical solutions.

  • Design and build interactive dashboards, data visualizations, and user interfaces.

  • Support and enhance existing analytics capabilities used in Operations and Supply Chain.

  • Promote analytical thinking and data literacy across the organization.

  • Develop deep knowledge of business processes, data structures, and operational challenges.

Support and maintain existing solutions

  • Learn support model, provide troubleshooting and fixes for software issues and interfaces with 3rd party vendors.

  • Execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support existing business processes.

  • Contribute to root cause identification, prevention, and maintenance activities.

  • Validate and monitor live solutions.

  • Follow defined support call paths including status updates in incident management tool.

  • Support go-live activities and hypercare support.

Strengthen the Business Analysis community

  • Mentor and guide others to help advance business analysis within Smucker as a discipline, community of practice and profession.

  • Serve as a participant in the Business Analyst Center of Excellence, seeking opportunities to build and share knowledge broadly.

What we are looking for

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience with either a Bachelor's degree in a related field or specialized training (including on-the-job).

  • Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or similar data visualization tools

  • Experience working directly with business customers and applying business analysis techniques to create deliverables such as business cases, process flows, requirements documents and project plans

  • Effective communicator and facilitator, with ability to lead efficient meetings with varied audiences (leadership, vendors, etc.)

  • Experience with formal project delivery methodologies/frameworks (Traditional/Waterfall, Agile, DevOps)

  • Experience working on teams with assignment due dates or service level agreements (SLAs) to support customer needs

  • Experience with business process modeling and change management

  • Experience contributing to Data Governance processes

Additional knowledge of experience that we think would make someone successful in this role (not required):

  • Experience implementing or supporting Operations (Plant Manufacturing) or other enterprise level software relating to Plant Systems, Corporate Quality, and Supply Chain

  • Experience developing solutions on major cloud service provider platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Experience with Databricks

  • Experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) implementations within an integrated enterprise environment

  • Scrum Master / Product Owner experience

  • Familiarity with data integration methods and data conversion activities. Experience creating requirements and design documentation pertaining to data integration or conversion

  • Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
