The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University invites applications for the position of Associate Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) at our Daytona Beach campus. This embedded position, housed within the O'Maley College of Business, offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of teaching innovation, faculty support, and evidence-based educational practice.

Reporting to the Director of CTLE at the Daytona Beach campus, the Associate Director will work collaboratively with the CTLE team and the O'Maley College of Business to advance instructional excellence across disciplines, with a special emphasis on supporting faculty within the college of business. The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator and faculty developer with strong interpersonal, research, and project management skills.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

Required Education:

  • Doctorate level terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., etc.)

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, including at least three years of higher education teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in higher education pedagogy, instructional design, and/ or educational development.
  • Experience in the effective use of instructional technologies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated research skills in evidence-based instructional practices; quantitative research experience is a plus.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working with faculty in business, aviation, STEM, or technical disciplines is preferred but not required.

While not required, an interest in supporting and advancing experiential learning initiatives is especially desirable.
