Job Description

Overview of the Position:


The Logistic Material Manager is in charge of supervising all personnel within the Stockroom, Shipping departments, to ensure that all operational and quality requirements are being fulfilled.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for managing the stockroom, final inspection and shipping activities to ensure,


on-time delivery of customer orders and proper policies and procedures are followed (Mentor & Coach Team Members).



  • Assists in determining work schedules and assigning areas of responsibility to Stockroom, and Shipping and Receiving personnel to optimize workflow and ensure effective completion of area functions.


  • Interface with departments and administration to resolve shipping and repair order issues and address concerns regarding quality control issues and propose solutions to problems.


  • Assists in maintaining complete and accurate records of stockroom activities and preparation of management reports.
  • Oversee the process for receiving material into the stockroom and issuing parts to jobs.
  • Oversee the Inventory Auditing via Cycle Counting to ensure the inventory is accurate and up to date at all times.
  • Oversee/Records rejected and/or discrepant materials in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Provide performance feedback both formally and informally.
  • Completes US Government required "Shipper's Export Declaration (SED)" for all export shipments using AES Direct internet system. This includes looking up the Harmonized Tariff Code for the part(s) being shipped thus some product knowledge is required.


  • Oversee Foreign Trade Compliance to ensure compliance with the requirements on domestic and international customers including customer pick-up and delivery by working with different FDW.
  • Oversee Customs clearing issues with incoming purchase orders and repair orders.
  • Other duties as assigned.




Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Good communication and problem-solving skills for working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Any previous inspection or aerospace industry related experience is a plus.
  • Delegates responsibilities effectively.
  • 4+ management experience.
  • Familiarity with FedEx and/or UPS shipping systems required.


  • Must have working knowledge of the internet and windows operating systems.
  • Quantum Experience required.

Requirements

Education Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 5 year of experience and/or training in logistics management.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
