Mechanical Engineer 6

As a Mechanical Engineer at Lam, you're designing and defining cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Your role involves feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams in detailed design and fabrication. You provide the crucial design information needed to shape our technology's packaging.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineeringor related field with 15+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 12+ years' experience; or equivalent experience.

• Experience programming industrial robots

  Experience operating thermal spray equipment

• Proven experience in developing coatings and transitioning them into high volume manufacturing

• Ability to work well in a cross functional team environment

• Understanding of how to design masking for coating termination zones

• Experience using grit blast equipment

• Proficiency with NX or equivalent

• Ability to travel (up to 25%)

• Semiconductor industry experience is not required, but a plus

• Experience with process optimization and process control techniques

• Leadership experience and the ability to direct a small team

• Metal oxide coating development is a plus

• Experience with JMP, Origin, or other statistical software

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
