Position: Business Systems Analyst - Associate/Mid-Level

Function: Business Analysis and Systems Integration

Location: Remote Site/Cobec Site - DC

Remote Work Option: Yes

Salary Range: $85K-$125K

Security Requirements

- Must be a US citizen or a legal resident for three of the past five years.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance, including a soft credit check and criminal background check. Refer to 5 CFR 731.202 for Public Trust suitability.

Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst (Associate/Mid-Level) will support cross-functional teams in designing and optimizing business systems that align with organizational and industry objectives. This role serves as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that system capabilities and enhancements meet operational needs. FAA experience is strongly preferred, particularly supporting programs in the areas of automation, systems integration, or business operations.

Essential Responsibilities

- Analyze and evaluate business processes, systems, and user needs to develop clear and actionable requirements.
- Support system design by documenting functional specifications, workflows, and use cases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine systems scope, objectives, and alignment with business strategies.
- Lead or contribute to system enhancements, upgrades, data migrations, and configuration activities.
- Identify gaps, redundancies, or inefficiencies in current-state processes and recommend improvements.
- Provide input on solution design, test strategies, and system rollouts to ensure adoption and functionality.
- Assist in troubleshooting system and data issues post-deployment.
- Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation and guidance for end users.
- Maintain awareness of emerging tools, technologies, and best practices that can benefit business operations.
- Candidates with FAA experience may also support process optimization aligned with FAA directives or participate in stakeholder engagement sessions with FAA clients.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
- Associate/Mid-Level Experience Requirements:
- BS: 5-9 years
- MS: 3-7 years
- PhD: 0-4 years
- HS Diploma: 9-13 years
- Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, financial systems, or inventory control platforms.
- Proven ability to elicit requirements and facilitate stakeholder discussions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills

- FAA experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting government clients or highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, ServiceNow, Tableau, SQL, or system modeling tools.
- Agile and/or SDLC knowledge.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and offering scalable system solutions.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt to shifting priorities.

Travel

Occasional travel as required by client or company needs.
