What you will do Perform inspection, testing and maintenance/repair of Wet, Dry, Pre-Action and Deluge Sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA and State of Department of Health. Candidate should have the ability to accurately discern, and document deficiencies found during aninspection. How you will do it Perform routine inspections, testing, service of life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturers' product lines. Attention to detail with the ability to communicate with employees, employers, customers, and authorities having jurisdiction both written and verbally is desired. Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment. Learn to complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices, such as laptop computers and/or hard copy. Input, retrieve and archive inspection documentation program via the laptop computer. Make minor repairs and programming changes while under the direct authorized supervision. Perform other duties as assigned. What we look for Required Four or more years of documented experience in sprinkler system inspections. NICET certification, or the ability to obtain it within 3 months of hire (training provided by JCI).High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Four or more years of documented experience in sprinkler system inspections. NICET certification, or the ability to obtain it within 3 months of hire (training provided by JCI). Ability to obtain and maintain any licenses required by national, state, or local codes. Experience using hand tools and a multimeter. Experience troubleshooting systems and performing repairs. Able to carry and move equipment and tools up to 70 lbs. Work in challenging environments, including ladders, scaffolding, lifts up to 40 feet, ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings. Available for flexible hours, including nights and weekends, occassionally. Willing to travel out of town for training. Demonstrates strong customer service. Follows all safety guidelines and procedures. Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and quick learner. Preferred Knowledge of fire pumps, backflows and standpipes is a plus. Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems Backflow certification HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20.67 - $28.85 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge,skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
