The Director, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering leads the AME Team in the support and delivery of Sealy Operations strategic engineering priorities. This position will be responsible for successful execution of major cross-functional initiatives involving equipment conception, design, acquisition and operation. The role will be focused on improving all aspects of SQCSM - Safety, Quality, Productivity, Service and Morale and will significantly impact our performance in all of these areas. What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities): Corporate Operations Strategy and Operational Performance * Play a key part in developing the long-term strategy of Sealy AME * Build, maintain and leverage relationships across the organizational matrix to identify opportunities for improvement and facilitate the implementation and continuous monitoring of process and equipment. * Support Cost Management by implementing choices consistent with financial goals; managing high performance by taking into account input from all sources. * Assess, analyze, and implement solutions to identify and eliminate waste, organized around Lean processes and deliver excellence on Safety/Environmental, Quality, Productivity/Cost and Morale. * Equipment - continue to enable and drive our teams to find novel solutions to complex, long standing issue and deliver timely and cost effective projects * Manage capital spend * Partner with Marketing & R&D on Design - lead the Sealy Operations partnership in applying DFM and other applicable tools in developing our new products in such a way that we are able to excel in the manufacturing of these new products * Corporate Maintenance - own and grow use of CMMS to control both break/fix and PM maintenance activities * Perform other duties as assigned. What You'll Need (Qualifications): * BS Required, BS or Masters in Engineering preferred; * 10 years or more of professional experience to include 2 years in Technical Management experience. * Extensive project management, people leadership and manufacturing/lean experience is required. * This role will be expected to travel generally 50% of the time. $153,000 to $218,000 Tempur Sealy is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
