The Trip Enrichment Specialist is a production-based position working to optimize revenue through various processes identified to decrease the number trips written off for missing information. The Trip Enrichment Specialist engages with various teams to build new processes and evaluations that improve the overall revenue for the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve data capture of patient demographics to reduce unbillable trips and associated write-offs.
  • Identify and implement enhancements in the revenue cycle through trip enrichment strategies.
  • Collaborate on developing new processes to improve trip data and overall revenue performance.
  • Communicate with facilities and patients to support trip enrichment efforts.
  • Assist with report reviews and quality assurance as needed.
  • Promote professionalism and maintain a respectful work environment.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with AMR teams, including Operations, Business Development, IT, and Finance.
  • Follow all company policies.

Qualifications:
Education & Industry Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • At least 1 year of work in AMR PODS
    • Experience with computer programs and software (preferred)
    • Experience working with the public.
    • Professional experience spanning the medical field and emergency transport sector.
    • Medical and insurance industry terminology.
    • Medicare and Medicaid guidelines related to ambulance billing.
    • HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley and other critical governmental regulations.
  • Maintain working knowledge of various tools including but not limited to basic Microsoft Office software, QWERTY keyboard use, basic computer function required.
  • Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, to convey information distinctly and concisely. Use appropriate grammar and punctuation in written documents.
