HVAC Service Technician - Houston, TX

We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician with hands-on experience servicing and maintaining Trane IntelliPak units, Liebert precision cooling systems, and air-cooled chillers. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of commercial HVAC systems across office buildings, data centers, and industrial facilities..

• Diagnose and optimize performance of various HVAC systems including split systems, mini split systems, RTUs, WSHPs, CRAC units, and airside equipment.

• Diagnose and repair IntelliPak rooftop units, including control boards, compressors, VFDs, and economizers

• Service and maintain Liebert/Vertiv CRAC and precision cooling systems in data centers and mission-critical environments

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs on air-cooled chillers (primarily Trane, Carrier, or York brands)

• Conduct inspections and routine preventative maintenance on a variety of HVAC equipment

• Utilize building automation systems (e.g., Tracer, BMS, EMS) to troubleshoot HVAC performance issues

• Complete work orders and service reports accurately and in a timely manner

• Communicate effectively with clients regarding work performed and recommended repairs or upgrades

• Ensure all work complies with local codes, OSHA safety standards, and company policies

• Successfully fulfills service contracts, quoted projects, and service calls, ensuring profitability is maintained.
• Participates in technician on-call standby rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures.
• Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers.
• Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience required

• Proven knowledge of IntelliPak units, Liebert systems, and air-cooled chillers (preferred)

• EPA Universal Certification (Required)

• Vocational or technical training in HVAC systems preferred

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

• Comfortable working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and sometimes tight environments
