We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineer to support government contracts in delivering advanced systems for mission-critical applications. As a member of our team, you will utilize MBSE methodologies, tools, and processes to support the design, analysis, and integration of complex systems that meet unique customer needs within the Department of Defense (DoD) and government sectors. This role requires a candidate skilled in systems engineering practices, proficient in MBSE tools, and enthusiastic about supporting large-scale engineering projects in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Responsibilities:
  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles to the development ofsystem architecture representations &interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain system models and simulations using MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, Innoslate, Enterprise Architect, or equivalent platforms.
  • Support system verification processes through model-based techniques.
  • Identify dependencies, constraints, and risks through systems models and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate them.
  • Contribute to the development of system design documentation, including block diagrams, sequence diagrams, use cases, and other model artifacts.
  • Perform trade studies and system analyses to evaluate design alternatives and optimize system performance.
Team and Customer Collaboration:
  • Work directly with government customers to elicit requirements, refine system needs, and deliver actionable engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software, hardware, and test engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in MBSE-related activities.
  • Prepare briefings and reports to communicate technical findings, progress, and deliverables to stakeholders.
  • Support or lead technical meetings, design reviews, and project-related discussions.
Qualifications :
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline, with 6 years' experience.
  • 6 years minimum of experience in systems engineering or general engineering with 4 years minimum experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), systems architecture, or related engineering practices.
  • Expertise in MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, Innoslate, Enterprise Architect, or other SysML-based platforms.
  • Understanding of systems engineering and lifecycle processes, particularly within DoD and government domains.
  • Solid technical background in system requirements analysis, system design, and verification.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills for interacting with customers and teammates effectively.
  • Familiarity with DoD standards, processes, and acquisition programs.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Advanced degree in Systems Engineering or related field.
  • Certifications: INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP/CSEP/ESEP) or equivalent MBSE certifications.
  • Experience with DoD modeling methodologies such as Digital Engineering or MBSE frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), SysML, and DoDAF standards.
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for simulation purposes.
  • Experience working within Agile and/or DevSecOps environments.
  • Understanding of physics-based modeling and simulation practices.
  • Understanding of AFSIM Simulation framework.
Required Clearance:
  • Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS / SCI; US Citizenship required.
