Job Overview

Komatsu is recruiting a Field Technician to work at our Sparks, NV location.

Key Job Responsibilities

* Maintain an annual repair efficiency of at least 85%.


* Ensure rework hours remain under 3% of billed hours.


* Adhere to standard repair times and achieve balanced scorecard goals.


* Prioritize safety and comply with all regulations.


* Manage documentation and implement contamination control measures.


* Provide accurate quotes and excellent customer service.


* Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, testing all repairs thoroughly.


* Thoroughly test and validate the functionality of all repairs made and adjustments performed.


* Apply general failure analysis procedures for effective troubleshooting and diagnosis of complex issues.

Qualifications/Requirements

* High school diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in Diesel Technology preferred.


* Minimum of 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.


* Flexibility to accommodate various work schedules, including shift work


Skills:


* Strong communication and customer service skills.


* Proficiency in basic arithmetic and computer skills.


* Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex issues.


* Mechanical knowledge.

Additional Information

* Certification to operate a forklift and/or manlift required.


* MSHA certification and respirator certification may be necessary.


* Possession of a basic mechanics toolset required.


* Valid Driver's License
