EOG's Land Administration department is seeking an experienced oil and gas title professional to join the team as a Senior Title Analyst, with primary responsibilities centered on
owner communications. This role is essential to supporting EOG's exploration and production objectives by resolving title and interest-related inquiries with accuracy, professionalism, and timeliness. The ideal candidate brings strong experience communicating directly with interest owners regarding title curative, ownership changes, and royalty matters, and thrives in a highly collaborative, detaildriven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for interest owner inquiries via phone and email, including questions related to:
- Lease terms and payments
- Net royalty/revenue interest calculations
- Joint interest billing issues
- Title requirements
- Interest conveyances
- Probate and heirship matters
- Communicate clearly with owners to obtain required documentation for ownership changes
- Analyze curative and conveyance documents - including deeds, probate filings, and assignments - to support updates to mineral, royalty, and working interest ownership
- Use internal systems and external resources to research issues and provide accurate, informed guidance to owners
- Log inquiries, research steps, resolutions, and supporting documentation in EOG's workflow application
- Route inquiries to lease and division order title analysts for review and final ownership updates in the land system
- Ensure timely, accurate, and proactive responses to owners in alignment with EOG's high standards for owner communication
- Collaborate effectively with Land, Legal, Accounting, and other internal teams to support company objectives
- Perform all duties in compliance with EOG's SOX controls and operational processes, with a strong focus on data integrity
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required:
- 5+ years of experience as a Field or Title Landman, Lease and Title Analyst, or Division Order Analyst
- Broad experience analyzing and interpreting oil and gas leases, contracts, title opinions, deeds, assignments, probate documents, and other title curative materials
- Solid understanding of ownership structures and the ability to compute varied interest types
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build constructive rapport with owners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new computer applications and systems
- Proven ability to manage a highvolume workload, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
- Commitment to working effectively and collaboratively as part of a team
- Demonstrated professionalism in handling confidential and proprietary information
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working title in both Texas and other major U.S. oilproducing states
- Familiarity with federal leasing and unitization
- RL, RPL, CPLTA, or CDOA
