Job Description

This office support position is essential to the daily operations and student-facing services within the College of Business. The individual in this role ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for both undergraduate and graduate students by managing front desk operations, coordinating advising appointments, and supporting key administrative functions.

Job responsibilities:

  • Assist with graduate admissions, including monitoring and responding to the central mba@umsl.edu and business@umsl.edu inquiry emails.
  • Support College of Business leadership data analytics projects, including the retrieval of data from MyConnect, Cognos, and Slate.
  • Management of front desk duties that support Business undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Balance One card for the Graduate Office.
  • Process Undergraduate and Graduate office expense reports.
  • Purchases for graduate and undergraduate teams, including office supplies and orientation materials.
  • Schedule and manage walk-in advising appointments for undergraduate and graduate advisors
  • Assist with Undergraduate and Graduate events (orientations, purchasing, residencies etc.)
  • Develop graphics for Graduate social media postings.

Shift

40 hours/week. Monday thru Friday

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary; 1 of these years must be spent supervising

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree and proficiency in Canva, Slate, MyView, and social media.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $ 22.00 - $24.00
Grade: GGS- 008
